Changes for Local Church Women’s Ministry

New changes were instituted by the women of The Wesleyan Church at the Women’s Ministry Summit this summer.
Following are some of the changes available for local churches:
  1. Each local church is free to continue to function  as they do presently or they may choose to initiate changes.
  2. Women’s ministry leaders are encouraged to work with their pastor and the leaders in their church to determine what God wants to accomplish through their church this year.
  3. Choose your leadership structure that will best help you accomplish your mission.
  4. Women need to decide how the women’s ministry can help fulfill God’s mission for their church, locally, regionally, and globally.
  5. Plan your ministry programs, events, activities, and opportunities for serving and giving to fulfill this mission.
 Preparation steps
      1.       Pray.
2.       Talk with your pastor about the mission for your church.
3.       Seek input before planning from all ages and stages of women in your church.
4.       Decide the structure of your leadership team to fulfill your mission.
5.       Make decisions that will fulfill your mission.
6.       Choose resources to help fulfill your mission.

Resources are available through the Wesleyan Women office. You may purchase them separately or as a complete bundle. Feel free to call the general office, 317-774-7976, for additional information and help.
